Poster shows a boastful Uncle Sam, wearing soldier's boots and smoking a cigarette, facing a German butcher wearing a blood-soaked apron and a soldier's helmet. Uncle Sam is a figure who represents the government of the United States and for the US itself. The propaganda was targeted towards Italians as well as other participants of the war to make them feel that the US was superior to them. The propaganda was used to frighten Italians and other participants of the war. The technique here is imagery and persuasion. This propaganda is effective because the US was superior and intimidating to other nations involved in the war.

Date Denaro Per La Vittoria: La Vittoria E La Pace means Give Money To The Victory: The Victory And Peace. Banca Italiana Di Sconto means Italian Bank Discount. Text encourages people to donate money for victory and peace. Poster shows a cannon, resting on a pile of coins, pointing upwards toward the mountains. This propaganda was targeted to the Italian people to get them to place stock into the war via the Italian Bank. This was basically an Italian version of buying war bonds. This propaganda was used so the Italians could fund their soldiers in the war and to gain the support of their citizens. This piece was published by the Italian government, the main idea of it being that the support of the Italian citizens would lead to victory, which would then lead to peace. Imagery and symbolization are used in this piece. The cannon symbolizes the war and the money symbolizes the support of the Italian people. This poster did help the cause it set out for, because Italians wanted peace, and if sending money was the answer to ending the war then they would do it
Aiutateci a vincere! la Banca commerciale Italiana advertises the latest subscription for wa bonds, "Help us win! Commercial Bank Italian! Receive subscriptions to the new consolidated income: 5% (income 5.55%)". Poster shows an Italian soldier holding his bayoneted rifle in one hand and pointing with the other. Behind him, a fire and smoke. Text advertises the latest subscription for war bonds. This propaganda was to persuade the Italian people to support their soldiers in the war by buying subscriptions from the Italian Commercial Bank. The propaganda was created to raise money from the Italian citizens to support Italian troops during World War 1. This piece was published by the Italian government and the the Italian Commercial Bank. The main idea of this piece of propaganda is basically an Italian trooper standing gallantly a midst the flames and destruction of the war asking for the financial help of the Italians. The idea behind this was to use the picture of an Italian trooper to speak on a personal level to the citizens to get them to support willingly. This piece of propaganda was a success in bringing profits for the Italians in the war because it spoke on a personal level and it made the war effort seem like a heroic one, which would inspire the citizens to be "heroes from home" and support with their money.
Per La Liberta E La Civilta Del Mondo Sotto Scrivete Al Prestito Nazionale means For freedom and civilization of the world subscribe to the national loan. The targeted audience for this propaganda were Italian citizens to persuade them to contribute to the National Loan in order to pitch in money to support the war with their donations. This poster was published by the Italian government and the National Loan. This piece reinforces the idea that with the help of their economic increase, winning the war will in return bring liberty and progress to their country. The techniques used include logos and pathos because it is stating that logically, it would be the smart thing to do to support your country in order to win the war. And pathos is used because with the image of the soldiers with their flags raised high and the words 'freedom and civilization', you cannot help but feel patriotic, proud, strengthened, and nationalistically. This propaganda was effective in its purpose because it did get the people of Italy to help the war with their money, but also got the soldiers to feel energetic and optimistic going into war.
This propaganda translates: For the country, my eyes, for peace, your money. National Consolidated Loan. The audience targeted in this poster is also the Italian people trying to convince them to give their money for the war effort taking place in WW1. This was published by the Italian government and the National Loan as well. The main idea of this piece is to evoke the sadness, anger, guilt, and patriotism needed to make the Italians grant their money to support the cause. This propaganda uses pathos because it makes the viewer want to help because of all of the emotions they are feeling that in turn want to make them win. It also uses logos because it makes sense to support the war monetarily if you want your country to win. And yes, in my opinion the propaganda was effective in achieving its purpose because it made the Italian people come together and support the war with the funds that they could add to the war.
